Alejandro Solis has been a policy leader of energy, climate, emerging clean economy, water and transportation policy for the past 10 years. As a native of Imperial County, Alejandro began his career as a policy coordinator at Comite Civico del Valle focusing on energy, climate and workforce development. Alejandro has also worked on Governor Newsom’s clean energy and climate related legislative packages throughout his career. Including climate neutrality targets, clean transportation goals and job development. Most recently, Alejandro successfully advocated for lithium-related policies and California’s transition to clean energy, ensuring that communities most affected by California’s lithium and critical mineral extraction are prioritized in the Lithium Valley and that community benefits and Salton Sea restoration remain at the forefront. Alejandro Solis attended California State University, Chico where he studied Political Science and Engineering.
