Mrs. Evelyn Pineda is the Founder and President of California Advocacy LLC which is one of a few minority women owned lobbying firms in California. Mrs. Pineda works on healthcare, philanthropy, real estate, housing, local government, disability and energy policy. Mrs. Pineda established a firm with a purpose of balance helping businesses and organizations thrive while also providing support to community organizations. Mrs. Pineda has worked on budget items that have resulted in billions of investments that have benefited our clients.
Prior to founding California Advocacy, Mrs. Pineda worked for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services where she ensured that children were protected and reunited with their loved ones when safe. She had to ensure that kids that were around troubled environments were placed in safe environments. Mrs. Pineda received her B.A. from Cal Poly Pomona. She is also a graduate from the University of California (USC), receiving a Master of Science, Gerontology degree. Mrs. Pineda is a cancer survivor and is a big supporter of healthy living.

Mr. Marvin Pineda has over two decades experience in California legislative and political matters. His ability to create positive results for his clients has made him a leading lobbyist in California. Prior to establishing California Advocacy, he was a lobbyist for Capitol Strategies Group. While at Capitol Strategies Group, he was successful in securing over $750 million in state technology contracts and public funds for his clients and produced positive legislative and regulatory results. He is known in Sacramento for his expertise in technology, waste, labor, local government, health, gambling, cannabis, and many other issues. If there is a problem that an entity faces, Mr. Pineda will figure out solutions that will translate into victories for his clients.
In the past, Mr. Pineda also worked for the California Medical Association as an attorney and lobbyist. He also worked for the Assembly and Senate. While in law school, he was a law clerk for one of the leading insurance industries in California. Mr. Pineda is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside and University of California, Davis School of Law, King Hall. While in law school, he received the Witkin Award, a prestigious award given to the top grade in his class, for Legislative Process. Mr. Pineda first started working in politics as part of the California Latino Caucus Legislative Fellowship. Mr. Pineda is licensed by the California State Bar to Practice law.
Mr. Pineda is licensed to coach competitive soccer. When not effectively advocating for some of California’s major private and public sector organizations, Mr. Pineda coaches a competitive club.

Senator Polanco was the former California State Senate Majority Leader and Chairman of the California Latino Legislative Caucus.
First elected in 1986, Richard Polanco served sixteen years in the California Legislature. In 1994 he was elected to the State Senate and served as Senate Majority Leader from 1998 to his retirement in 2002. Senator Richard Polanco is best known for his work with the Latino Legislative Caucus, which he chaired from 1990 to 2002. Under his leadership, the Senator led efforts to increase the number of Democratic Latino legislators from seven to 24, contributing significantly to the first Latino Speaker of the Assembly years later.
Senator Polanco fought tirelessly on behalf of underserved communities throughout the State of California. He has spent a lifetime advocating for low-income communities and authored significant legislation creating policy in the areas of Congregate Living Facilities for HIV Populations, Accessibility Emergency Services Information for the Hearing Impaired, Small Business Innovation Research Program, Water Desalination Facilities, California Business Preference Bond Act, California Aerospace and Advanced Transportation Supplier Program, Farmworker Housing Attorney Fees Act, Community Colleges Economic Development Program, Community College –California /Mexican International Trade Centers, Cesar Chavez Community Service Holiday, and The California Voting Rights Act. Senator Polanco is Managing Director of Tres Es Inc., a boutique government affairs and lobbying firm that will surpass client expectations.

Daniel Sanchez is the Public Affairs Director for California Advocacy. Mr. Sanchez has over a decade of experience in California politics and is highly skilled in communication strategies. He has worked on multiple campaigns and represented elected officials and government entities as an official spokesman.
Before joining California Advocacy, Mr. Sanchez worked as a Legislative and Public Affairs Officer for the San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk’s office. In this role, he was responsible for the legislative and communications strategy for a county department that oversees the county property tax valuation of over $288 billion annually.
Mr. Sanchez attended the University of California, Riverside, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. While attending the University of California, Mr. Sanchez was selected to participate in the prestigious Robert T. Matsui Congressional Fellowship Program. After graduating, Mr. Sanchez was selected as a Senate Fellow for the California State Legislature. He would go on to work as a communications director for a member of Congress in Washington, DC.
Mr. Sanchez was raised by two immigrant parents in the San Fernando Valley. He is a twin, and his older sisters are also twins. He is married to his high-school sweetheart, Diana, and has two boys, ages 5 and 2.

Alejandro Solis has been a policy leader of energy, climate, emerging clean economy, water and transportation policy for the past 10 years.
As a native of Imperial County, Alejandro began his career as a policy coordinator at Comite Civico del Valle focusing on energy, climate and workforce development.
Alejandro has also worked on Governor Newsom’s clean energy and climate related legislative packages throughout his career. Including climate neutrality targets, clean transpiration goals and job development. Most recently, Alejandro successfully advocated for lithium-related policies and California’s transition to clean energy, ensuring that communities most affected by California’s lithium and critical mineral extraction are prioritized in the Lithium Valley and that community benefits and Salton Sea restoration remain at the forefront.

Jose Carmona has over two decades of public policy and advocacy experience. Prior to joining California Advocacy, Mr. Carmona served as the Chief Governmental Officer for Tzunu Strategies, where he served as the principal policy and political strategist in support of a client portfolio focused on California lithium, renewable energy, and electrical transmission. Prior to his role at Tzunu Strategies, Mr. Carmona served as the California Program Director for the Energy Foundation, where he designed strategy in support of academic, workforce development, and clean energy industry organizations in the establishment of California’s most recent landmark clean technology and climate initiatives. Before the Energy Foundation, he served as Chief of Staff to the Assembly Majority Leader and Vice-Chair of the California Latino Legislative Caucus. In that role, Mr. Carmona advanced energy-related legislation, including an extension of the Self-Generation Incentive Program, expedited permitting and siting of projects within the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan, and secured funding for renewable energy workforce training in low-income and high unemployment areas of California. Jose holds a B.A. in Social and Political Science, from California State University, Chico.
